June 5: After winning a brutal seven-game series against Philly and advancing to the Eastern Conference finals, the Celtics took an unlikely 3-2 lead over the Miami Heat and appeared to take control of the series. In a 94-90 victory, Kevin Garnett had 26 points and 11 rebounds, and Paul Pierce scored 19, including a huge 3-pointer over LeBron James in the final minute. "This is like a heavyweight bout," Garnett said afterward. Boston eventually lost in seven games.
