The Boston Athletic Association will hold its first race since the Boston Marathon, the annual B.A.A. 10K, on June 23, and has announced that registration for runners opens Wednesday, May 8.
The 6.2-mile race -- which begins and ends on Charles Street, runs through Boston's Back Bay and passes several city landmarks -- is the second race of the 2013 B.A.A. Distance Medley, a three-race series that also includes the B.A.A. 5K in April and the B.A.A. Half Marathon in October.
There are already 2,035 runners registered for the three-race series, and the 10K will be limited to 6,500 entrants. Cost is $55. To register, visit www.baa.org.
