CVS Caremark Charity Classic co-hosts Billy Andrade and Brad Faxon announced recently that three more players had been confirmed for the tournament. Jimmy Walker, Jonas Blixt and Bill Haas have been added, bringing the total commitments to 13 players for 20 spots.
Walker has posted three wins and six top-10 finishes so far this season and is leading the FedEx Cup points race.
The tournament, entering its 16th year, will be played June 22-24 at Rhode Island Country Club.
Walker (17) joins Matt Kuchar (4), Zach Johnson (13), Jason Dufner (15) and Steve Stricker (19) among players committed that rank in the top 20 in the world (ahead of the Crown Plaza Invitational).
2013 co-champion Stricker is returning to defend his title along with partner Bo Van Pelt. The two finished a combined 25-under last year, four shots ahead of Andrade and Bill Hass.
LPGA Tour golfers Lexi Thompson, who is currently ranked sixth in the world, and Juli Inkster, will be back to play again.
Also returning to the field for the 16th consecutive year is Peter Jacobsen. Jacobsen, Faxon and Andrade are the only golfers to have played in the tournament every year.
