Primo Carnera

Known as "The Ambling Alp," Carnera was an Italian giant who, at 6-foot-6 and 260-plus pounds, lived up to his moniker. He was also an incredibly active heavyweight, having fought 61 times in a three-year span from 1930 to 1932.

Carnera avenged an earlier loss to Jack Sharkey by knocking him out to win the heavyweight championship in 1933. After making two successful title defenses, Carnera lost the title to Max Baer by seventh-round TKO in 1934, when it's believed he hit the deck as many as 10 times before the stoppage.
