In a rematch of their September fight, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Bryan Vera will meet again Saturday (HBO, 9:45 p.m. ET/PT) at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
In their first fight, Chavez (47-1-1, 32 KOs) claimed a controversial unanimous decision (98-92, 97-93 and 96-94) which many felt should have favored Vera.
The Mexican star had signed to fight at 168 pounds, but did not make weight and had to renegotiate terms with Vera (23-7, 14 KOs), along with paying him an extra six-figure fee, to fight at 173 pounds.
However, Chavez has said that this time he won't have trouble making the contracted weight of 168 pounds and promises a convincing win.
