The WBC have announced Lennox Lewis and Vitali Klitschko are set to rematch in a high-profile exhibition fight later this year.

The pair are set to face off at the WBC convention which takes place between September 30 and October 5 at the Fairmont Grand Hotel of Kiev in Ukraine.

Lewis (41-2-1, 32 KOs), 52, beat Klitschko (45-2, 41 KOs), 46, back in 2003 via a sixth-round knockout to defend the WBC heavyweight belt in Los Angeles, USA.

Following his victory over Klitschko, the Brit announced his retirement from the sport and he has not returned to fight since.

Klitschko, however, fought on for a number of years after their bout before eventually retiring in 2013 after his final fight against Manuel Charr.

Now, the pair are set for another fight as Klitschko looks to avenge the only TKO defeat on his record.

It's not currently known what their rematch involves, and the chance of head guards and fewer rounds remains a possibility.
