Five keys for Danny Garcia

Junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia faces the toughest challenge of his unbeaten career Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Garcia (26-0, 16 KOs) defends his crown against one of the most feared active punchers in Argentinean Lucas Matthysse (34-2, 32 KOs). As in his great victories against Erik Morales, Amir Khan and even Zab Judah, once again Garcia will not be the favorite. Nevertheless, his attributes will give him the chance to keep his titles, if he can follow a few key instructions.

Here are five keys to victory for Danny Garcia against Lucas Matthysse:

High guard and counterpunch

Distance and double combination

Yes to the center, no to the ropes

Insist on the midsection

Caution and precaution
