We mentioned Monday that Alabama's defensive breakthrough meant that the cover was Alabama's to lose this week, as long as the Tide didn't suffer a hangover from the LSU win. We also cautioned against taking the bait on this obvious letdown spot without a good read that 'Bama had an off week of prep, since the Bulldogs are regulars in the post-LSU spot on the Alabama schedule, and Nick Saban has gotten his team over the afterglow of the big game quite well in the past.
