"Again, I don't know all the ins and outs. I don't have time to see all the intricacies...I don't know the stories, don't really want to know the stories just want to tell you that my dealings with him were all very, very positive and good things." Bears coach John Fox on former employer Jerry Richardson.

Steve Kerr played with Michael Jordan and against Kobe Bryant. Similarities? Differences? "Kobe is the closest thing to Michael [Jordan]," Kerr said. "Everybody has been compared to Michael. LeBron [James] has been compared to Michael. I don't think LeBron is Michael at all. I think he's a very different player, different mentality, mindset. Kobe has the same mindset and mentality that MJ had. The assassin, the ‘I'm-going-to-rip-your-throat-out-with-my-scoring,' low-post dominant fadeaway jumper, footwork [approach]. I thought Kobe's footwork was one of the best parts of his game, probably the most underrated because everybody focused on his shooting and his athleticism. But his footwork got him open. That's where he was so similar to Michael. He could just get any shot he wanted, and he never feared missing. He didn't care about missing. He missed tons of game-winning shots, made tons and just went onto the next game and did the same thing over and over again. Just an absolute assassin. The mentality was so ferocious and competitive. That's what I remember most."

“Yeah, I think some of it was some new guys in because of some guys lost. That's not an excuse, it's just reality. For whatever reason, we had a lot of holding penalties, which I think was partly due to some of the changes. But all in all, it wasn't good enough.” -- Bears coach John Fox on the team committing 13 penalties on Saturday.

Bears are lucky to have even scored three points in the first half. If not for Detroit's fumble with under 1 minute left until halftime the Bears would've been shut out. Regardless, the Lions outgained the Bears 225 to 90 in another lousy showing by John Fox's team.

Bears say OLB Pernell McPhee doubtful to return with a shoulder injury. McPhee missed last week's game at Cincinnati because of a bum shoulder.

Bears have been outgained 195 yards to 33 yards. No wonder Lions are up 13-0.
