Cabrera wants to stay on rebuilding White Sox

Melky Cabrera says he wants to remain with the Chicago White Sox despite the rebuilding club's latest flurry of trades. "I like this team and I would like to stay here for a long time, not just until the end of the season," he told the Chicago Tribune.

The Cubs returned to first place for the first time since June 6 with a 5-3 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. They're 8-1 since the all star break with catcher Willson Contreras leading the way. His sixth inning home run broke a 3-3 tie making a winner out of Jose Quintana. He's 2-0 as a Cub while Contreras has seven home runs in July.

According to StatCast Kyle Schwarber's HR in the fourth inning went 400 ft. Schwarber has a .901 OPS since returning from Triple-A earlier this month. His three runs driven in, in July, have come via solo home runs.
