CHICAGO Teams

Bears are lucky to have even scored three points in the first half. If not for Detroit's fumble with under 1 minute left until halftime the Bears would've been shut out. Regardless, the Lions outgained the Bears 225 to 90 in another lousy showing by John Fox's team.

Bears say OLB Pernell McPhee doubtful to return with a shoulder injury. McPhee missed last week's game at Cincinnati because of a bum shoulder.

Bears have been outgained 195 yards to 33 yards. No wonder Lions are up 13-0.

Bears OLB Pernell McPhee quickly jogs to the sidelines to get checked out by Chicago's doctors.

Not sure why John Fox doesn't go for it on 4th-and-1 at his own 45. The Bears are 4-9 and not making the playoffs. Tough to figure out his rationale for staying so conservative.

Bears only had 18 total yards of offense in the 1st quarter.

Bears safety Chris Prosinski officially ruled out with a concussion.

OLB Lamarr Houston now has three sacks in three games since he's re-joined the Bears.

Bears safety Chris Prosinski is in concussion protocol, the team announces.

Bears safety Chris Prosinski is taken back to the locker room. Deon Bush (currently in the game) and DeAndre Houston-Carson are the backup safeties on today's active roster -- Deiondre Hall is a healthy scratch. Adrian Amos is inactive because of a hamstring injury.

Bears doctors are looking at safety Chris Prosinski, who comes out of the game in favor of Deon Bush.

Former 4th round pick Deiondre Hall is a healthy scratch for the Bears on Saturday. The Bears attempted to get Hall, who recently came off of injured reserve, involved in their safety rotation but he apparently did not impress the coaching staff. This is a bad look for Hall, who's been a non-factor/injured since the Bears drafted him in 2016.

Disappointing turn of events for rookie tight end Adam Shaheen, who's inactive with what the Bears are calling a chest injury. Shaheen finally got in the flow of the offense last week with four catches for 44 yards and one touchdown vs. the Bengals. The chest injury is a setback for a player the Bears badly need to develop.

Chicago Bears inactives vs. Detroit: QB Mark Sanchez, DB Deiondre Hall, RB Taquan Mizzell, S Adrian Amos, OL Cameron Lee, DL Rashaad Coward and TE Adam Shaheen,

Bears rookie Mitchell Trubisky has a Total QBR of 52 in his last two games after 22 in his first seven games, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Trubisky is coming off the best game of his young professional career. Last week in Cincinnati, Trubisky passed for 271 yards and one touchdown. The second overall pick also rushed for a four-yard touchdown.

The Bears lost a close 27-24 game to Detroit back in November but Chicago can get the ultimate payback on Saturday. The Lions (7-6) are still alive for the playoffs but a loss to the Bears virtually eliminates them from postseason contention.

Bears are looking for their first victory in Detroit since Lovie Smith's final season of 2012. The Lions have swept the season series three of the last four years.
