After some Cubs warmed up by tossing the football around, it's the Indians' turn to get loose with a little pregame fun on the field at Wrigley.
The World Series seems like a strange time to start experimenting, but that's essentially what Terry Francona and Joe Maddon are both doing. Carlos Santana will play left field for the first time all season (he played four innings there in 2012) while Jason Heyward continues to sit because of his struggles at the plate. In his place will again be Jorge Soler ... who hasn't had a hit since September 15.
Game 3 of the World Series pits Indians right-hander Josh Tomlin against Cubs righty Kyle Hendricks. Hendricks has the edge in ERA and WHIP this postseason. Tomlin has a better record and strikeout rate per nine innings pitched.
There is a strong wind currently blowing out to left field. Game temperature is expected to be 63 degrees.

R.J. Hunter is looking forward to being teammates with Dwyane Wade. "He's been a role model of mine since I was young," Hunter said. "Actually my AAU team since I was younger was DWade. I don't know if that was an official sponsor but that's what we were called so it's kind of crazy how life comes back around."
R.J. Hunter admitted that it was strange for him to sit in the Bulls' locker room on Thursday after being waived by the Boston Celtics earlier in the week. "It was super awkward," Hunter said. No real surprises for Joe Maddon's lineup for Game 3. Jorge Soler gets another start in right field as righty Josh Tomlin of Cleveland is much tougher on lefties than righties. Willson Contreras bats 5th and is behind the plate.

The over/under is 8 (-120) at most Vegas though the Westgate and Station casinos have gone to 8.5 with reports of the wind blowing out at Wrigley Field (note: I still like the under).
