CHICAGO Teams

Wow. It had been nearly 11 years since a team attempted seven or fewer passes in a win. Mitchell Trubisky and the Bears attempted exactly seven today, fewest in a win since their opponent today, the Carolina Panthers, and Chris Weinke attempted seven on Dec. 24, 2006.

Bears DL Akiem Hicks helped off the field by team doctors. Looks to be okay. Would be a huge loss. Hicks playing at a Pro Bowl level.

From 2010 Week 15 through 2013 Week 3, a span of 38 team games, the Chicago Bears D/ST had nine games of 20-plus fantasy points. In 67 games since, they've failed to reach that threshold once. Today: 26 fantasy points, about 18 minutes to play.

Jackson, Bears D makes history

Per the Elias Sports Bureau, Eddie Jackson is the first player in NFL history with multiple defensive TDs of 75-plus yards in the same game. Prior to Week 6, the Bears had scored one defensive touchdown in their previous 50 games combined. They've now scored three in their last two games alone, including Jackson's pair on Sunday.

Seth Walder ESPN Analytics

Eddie Jackson's two defensive touchdowns combined have added over 50% to the Bears' win probability.

Bears rookie safety Eddie Jackson is making plays today...That's his second defensive touchdown on the INT return.

Bears rookie Eddie Jackson just had his second defensive score of the day -- 76-yard interception return on a deflected Cam Newton pass intended for Kelvin Benjamin.

Not sure why the Bears just attempted a 52-yard field goal in windy conditions. The defense is playing so well. Probably a better idea to punt and try to pin Carolina's offense deep inside their own territory. Instead, the Panthers take over at the 42-yard line.

Seth Walder ESPN Analytics

Eddie Jackson's 75-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown increased the Bears' chances of beating the Panthers by 26%. It's early, but so far that's the most of any play today.

Rookie safety Eddie Jackson's 75-yard fumble return for a touchdown is the Bears second defensive score in the last two weeks -- safety Adrian Amos had a pick-6 last week in Baltimore.
