After surrendering 20 unanswered runs to start their series against the Astros, the White Sox are finally on the board thanks to their newest acquisition, OF Trayce Thompson. Thompson homered to right off Dallas Keuchel to give the home fans something to finally cheer about after Houston had built a 10-0 lead. Taking his place is 25 year old David Bote who will make his ML debut against the Rockies Sat night at Coors Field. Bote will bat 8th and play third base after an impressive spring camp. He was drafted in the 18th round in 2012 making this his 7th year in the Cubs system. He's a Colorado native and currently lives about 10 miles north of Denver. He was added to the Cubs 40-man roster last November.

The White Sox say that reliever Danny Farquhar suffered a brain hemorrhage during the sixth inning of last night's game, causing him to collapse in the dugout. Additional testing at Rush University Medical Center revealed that a ruptured aneurysm caused his brain to bleed. Farquhar is in stable but critical condition in the neurosurgical ICU unit at Rush. The team will be updating the situation as needed over the next few days.
