Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly of the dynamic of fired defensive coordinator Brian VanGorder having a son still on the team at QB (Montgomery VanGorder): "We deal with it professionally like any family would. Some old problems have popped up to hamper Nebraska in its Big Ten opener -- and the turnovers so far have been extra painful. The Huskers have fumbled on the goal line twice to let Northwestern and its stagnant offense hang around at halftime, though they still took a slim 3-point lead into intermission. Mike Riley won't be happy with the ball security, and the Huskers are surely going to hear plenty about it in the locker room.
