Some things never change -- every week there's some sort of NFL injury controversy.

Despite suffering a cracked rib Sunday against San Francisco, Seattle quarterback Matt Hasselbeck tells the Seattle Times he might face the Bears defense Sunday.

"I'm absolutely hoping to play," Hasselbeck told the paper. "Absolutely."

"I have definitely felt worse," said Hasselbeck. "What I have is a painful injury, but I have definitely woken up on a Monday feeling worse. I don't feel that bad, and that's very encouraging."

The quarterback also claims to have played with a cracked rib in the past. What would life in the NFL be like without some good 'ol injury speculation?
