The guard had to be hospitalized in Oakland on Monday night after complaining of flu-like symptoms. He flew to Los Angeles on Tuesday night and was resting at the team hotel Wednesday morning, missing the shootaround at Staples Center.
"[He's] trying to get his energy back. Trying to get some food in him," Bulls coach Vinny Del Negro said. "We'll see how he feels at game time.
"If he feels strong enough and he thinks he can go, we'll try to get him some minutes. It will depend on his energy and how he feels. If he's still having the issues he had [Tuesday] and [Monday], then he probably won't play."
Meanwhile, Kirk Hinrich, who missed Monday's game due to flu-like symptoms, is expected to play against the Clippers.
