Derrick Rose (groin) out vs. Raptors

Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose will not play against the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday as he battles a pulled groin that has kept him out of the previous four games, the team informed reporters in Toronto.

The injury happened in the first half of the Bulls' March 12 win over the New York Knicks, when Jeremy Lin blocked his shot.

"After the game, I remember walking back to the locker room and I told the trainers immediately that I wasn't feeling right, where my leg was really messed up," Rose said recently. "They looked at it and saw what it was and I had to go get treatment and everything the next day."

The reigning MVP is averaging 22.8 points and eight assists per game for the first-place Bulls.

Wednesday's game will be the 14th Rose has missed this season with injuries that include turf toe and back spasms. The Bulls are 10-4 without him.
