Scott, who is averaging 3.8 points and 3.8 rebounds in 14.8 minutes per game this season, will not play against West Virginia on Saturday, according to the report. There is no word on whether or when the 6-7 junior will return.
The Tribune reports that Scott's father, Michael, told the paper that he is to blame for his son being disciplined because he contacted the paper about his son's future with the program. A Notre Dame representative said Michael Scott's account was "totally inaccurate."
Carleton Scott has been the seventh man in Notre Dame's seven-man rotation this season. Coach Mike Brey is expected to address the situation after the West Virginia game.
