Jenks out because of kidney stones

Chicago White Sox closer Bobby Jenks continued to struggle with kidney stone problems and went to Rush University Medical Center on Tuesday.

Jenks has pitched only once since suffering pain stemming from the kidney stones Thursday.

Jenks, who had a procedure to alliviate the pain, will be out Wednesday and Thursday. He could rejoin the team on Friday, when the team begins a three-game series with the Indians.

The Sox are in the middle of a 10-game homestand and begin a three-game series with the Angels on Tuesday night at U.S. Cellular Field.
