Lilly looks good in simulated game

Chicago Cubs general manager Jim Hendry said left-handed pitcher Ted Lilly looked good in his first simulated game Monday since undergoing shoulder surgery in November.

"He threw the ball really, really well," Hendry said.

Lilly is expected to throw in a Cactus League game next week, and throw against Cubs minor leaguers the following week. He is expected to have two more minor league starts, and barring any setbacks, he could join the Cubs in late April.
