DePaul, Illinois State and UIC were among the 64 teams selected to play in the NCAA softball tournament on Sunday.
DePaul reached the tournament for the 14th time in 15 years. The Blue Demons will play Indiana (37-16) in the Columbia, Mo., regional on Friday. DePaul is 39-13 overall and finished second in the Big East this season.
UIC returns to the tournament for the first since the 2004. The Flames will play Louisville in the Louisville regional on Friday. UIC defeated Butler 5-3 in the Horizon League tournament championship game on Sunday to earn its berth. The Flames are 25-22 on the season.
Illinois State will meet Missouri (46-7), the tournament's No. 5 overall seed, in the Columbia regional on Friday. The Redbirds are 35-17 this season.
