Bears DT Dvoracek arrested

Chicago Bears defensive tackle Dusty Dvoracek was arrested in Norman, Okla., on Saturday after an altercation at a bar.

Dvoracek, who played college football at the University of Oklahoma, was charged with public intoxication, assault and battery and interfering with an official process.

Norman police department records indicate the 26-year-old Dvoracek was arrested around 1 a.m. Saturday at Seven47, a restaurant near the University of Oklahoma.

The Bears' 73rd overall pick in 2006 allegedly hit a security worker at Seven47. The bar's general manager, Hunter Mankin, told OKBlitz.com that "Dusty just kind of freaked out. Our security would never provoke. I think Dusty's temper got out of hand."

Norman police Capt. Darry Stacy says an arrest report won't be available until Tuesday.

Dvoracek's 2009 season ended in August when he tore his ACL. He has finished each of his four NFL seasons on injured reserve.

While at Oklahoma, he was dismissed from the Sooners for a time after an altercation at a bar in Norman. He was reinstated after going through anger-management and alcohol-related counseling.
