Chicago Bears' inactives not surprising

DETROIT -- Unlike the banged up Lions, the Bears head into Sunday's matchup missing only one starter: strongside linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa. The veteran was ruled out earlier in the week because of a lingering knee issue, and will be replaced in the lineup by Nick Roach.

Tinoisamoa has been dealing with knee discomfort for much of the season, so it's unclear how long he'll remain sidelined.

Roach previously filled in for Tinoisamoa during the Bears 16-0 victory over Miami on Nov. 18, but played only 15 snaps because the defense spent much of the game in the nickel package.

Other Bears' inactives include: Caleb Hanie (3rd quarterback), Desmond Clark, Edwin Williams, Joshua Moore, Corey Wootton, Kahlil Bell and Barry Turner.

For Detroit, quarterback Shaun Hill and defensive end Kyle Vanden Bosch are out.
