Clark, whose contract expired following the Bears 21-14 loss to the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game on Sunday, spent much of 2010 on the inactive list, despite catching 241 passes over the previous seven seasons.
After the game, Clark was asked on "Chicago's GameNight" on ESPN 1000 if he thinks he'll be back in 2011
"If I look at it right now, I would say no," he said. "I wasn't used this year. Where would I play if I came back, how would they use me? Of course I want to be back, but those are business decisions that they need to make in the front office.
"It's up in the air. I'm sure we'll have some conversations. I just don't see them saying, 'Goodbye, thanks for your time.' I think if there's something that can be worked out, there will be some types of conversation."
Clark was active versus the Packers, but only made a brief appearance on the field. He is currently the ninth all-time leading receiver in franchise history.
