Burish suffered a torn ACL on Sept. 20 in a preseason game against the Minnesota Wild and underwent reconstructive surgery days later.
The Blackhawks had hoped the winger would return on Sunday against the Detroit Red Wings, but pushed the date back. Burish has been practicing with the team on the ice since early February.
"He's skating great and we like the way he's worked," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. "He's been diligent through this process and he's put himself ... in game shape and we're targeting Wednesday."
Burish has 10 goals and seven assists in 156 regular-season games over the last three years with the Blackhawks.
