Blackhawks re-sign Jordan Hendry

The Chicago Blackhawks re-signed defenseman Jordan Hendry to a one-year contract, the team announced.

Hendry, 26, had two goals, six assists and a plus-5 plus-minus rating in 43 regular-season games. He played in 15 postseason games for the Stanley Cup champs.

The Blackhawks have lost a number of players to free agency or trades since winning their first Stanley Cup in 49 years, including Andrew Ladd, Ben Eager, Dustin Byfuglien, Brent Sopel, Adam Burish, Colin Fraser, John Madden and Kris Versteeg.
