Blackhawks get Brent Seabrook back

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- The Chicago Blackhawks got defenseman Brent Seabrook back on Friday against the Anaheim Ducks as they avoided a four-game losing streak by beating the Ducks 6-5.

Seabrook has missed the first four contests of the Hawks' six-game road trip with a left leg injury he suffered the day before the Hawks left Chicago.

Seabrook practiced with his teammates on Tuesday but was unable to play in Wednesday's 1-0 loss to the San Jose Sharks. He missed Thursday's practice as well. Coach Joel Quenneville called him a game-time decision for Friday.

The Hawks have dropped the last three games of the road trip after winning the opening contest in Vancouver. After getting outscored 14-4 in two games over the weekend in western Canada, the Hawks fell 1-0 to San Jose and former Hawks goalie Antti Niemi.
