The Blackhawks' run to their second Stanley Cup in four years was defined by dominance and resiliency. They began the lockout-shortened season with an NHL-record 24 straight games with a point. They breezed through the first round, taking four of five games from the Minnesota Wild before taking on their rival Detroit Red Wings in the second round. Detroit took a 3-1 series lead, appearing to be on the verge of an upset, but the Hawks rallied to win three straight games, including a 2-1 overtime victory in Game 7. After disposing of the Los Angeles Kings in the West finals, the Hawks again erased a series deficit, this time down two games to one to Boston. The Hawks disposed of the Bruins in Game 6 with two goals in 17 seconds to shock Boston and win the Stanley Cup.
