In the ninth inning on April 25, 2012, at Oakland, Konerko homered to tie the game against the A's: It was his 400th career home run. The White Sox looked to be in business later in the game when Alexei Ramirez drove in two runs in the 14th inning, but the A's rallied with three in the bottom of the inning to win it. Konerko became the fourth player in White Sox history to hit milestone home runs of 400 or more, joining Frank Thomas and Andruw Jones, and Jim Thome, who hit 500.
