Armstrong was a key reserve for the 1990-91 Bulls, averaging 8.8 points in 21.1 minutes. He eventually succeeded John Paxson as a starter during the Bulls' third title season in 1992-93. He was selected by the Raptors in the 1995 expansion draft.
