Grade: B+

Regular season: 10 goals, 17 assists, 27 points, plus-27

Postseason: 1 goal, 5 assists, 6 points, minus-1

No one expected Saad, a rookie, to even be part of the team in 2013. He was a healthy scratch in the season opener, and he only received a chance to play because Daniel Carcillo suffered a significant injury. Saad was thrown on the top line with Jonathan Toews and Marian Hossa, and he held his own. Saad flourished as the season progressed and finished third in the Calder Trophy voting. He struggled in the playoffs and was demoted to the third line, but he contributed a goal and an assist in the Stanley Cup finals. -- What grade would you give him?
