Trailing 2-1 heading into the third period, the Blackhawks scored three times in the first half of the third for their first road win of the series, forcing Game 7 back in Chicago. Michael Frolik scored the Hawks' last goal on a penalty shot, with Michal Handzus and Bryan Bickell also scoring in the third. Marian Hossa provided the first goal on a power play in the first. Damien Brunner gave the Red Wings a chance, scoring with 52 seconds remaining to cut the Hawks' lead to one, but they couldn't finish.
