Road To Bourbonnais: Jermon Bushrod

Jermon Bushrod's five-year, $35.9 million ($17.7 million guaranteed) contract is the richest for an offensive lineman in franchise history and reflects the importance GM Phil Emery is putting on protecting his quarterback, which has been a glaring weakness for the Bears the past several seasons. Bushrod, 28, was a two-time Pro Bowler in New Orleans, where he worked for offensive coordinator Aaron Kromer. He will start at left tackle, which means J'Marcus Webb will move to the right side.
