Patrick Ewing Tribute
Saturday, Sept. 21 from 7-11 p.m. ET/PT

7 p.m. - College Basketball: 1984 National Championship
Houston vs. Georgetown

It was a dream matchup of two All-America centers: Ewing vs. Hakeem Olajuwon. While Olajuwon was slightly better in the stats category, Ewing and the Hoyas got the last laugh with an 84-75 NCAA championship win. Ewing was named the Most Outstanding Player and had 10 points, nine rebounds and four blocks. Olajuwon finished with 15 points, nine rebounds and one block. Freshmen Reggie Williams and Michael Graham gave Georgetown a spark, combining for 33 points, including knocking down 11 of Georgetown's 15 field goals in the second half.

9 p.m. - NBA: 1994 Eastern Conf. Finals, Game 7
Indiana Pacers at N.Y. Knicks

Patrick Ewing grabbed John Starks missed shot rebound and dunked it to give New York the lead for good in the Knicks 94-90 victory over the Pacers. The gigantic jam climaxed a sensational game for Ewing, who had 24 points, 22 rebounds, seven assists and five blocks. His 11 offensive rebounds were as many as the entire Indiana team. The Knicks outrebounded Indiana, 51-29, but it wasn't over until the final minute. Dale Davis' dunk with 34 seconds left gave Indiana a 90-89 lead. Then Starks attemped a driving layup which bounced off the rim, before being slammed home by Ewing for the winning bucket.
