Swann excelled in the big game

Lynn Swann, an All-American at Southern Cal, was the first-round pick (21st overall) of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1974 draft. Swann had a knack for making the big play with a dramatic flair. Not the biggest receiver at 5-10, Swann made up for it with his athletic ability. Acrobatic catches seemed to be the norm rather than the exception for Swann, who excelled in the big game. Swann was voted MVP of Super Bowl X, a 21-17 Steeler win over the Dallas Cowboys. He had only four receptions, but his 161 receiving yards included a 64-yard touchdown. In four Super Bowls, Swann has 364 receiving yards, the second-most in Super Bowl history. He finished his Steelers career with 336 receptions for 5462 yards and 51 touchdowns.
