Seemingly good news for Nebraska on wide receiver Jordan Westerkamp, who has missed the last two games with a back injury. Offensive coordinator Danny Langsdorf said after today's practice, "I think that he's looking good running around, and I think they're going to make sure and check him out fully before they clear him for 100 percent contact, but he looks good moving around." Nebraska visits Wisconsin on Saturday.

Penn State RB Saquon Barkley said his team is trying to "create its own juice" at practice this week. The Nittany Lions aren't pumping crowd noise in this time -- and it's probably no coincidence that's because they're headed to Purdue, whose crowd will be about one-third the size of Saturday's White Out. PSU's started out slow on the road so far this season, so it's trying to change things up.

Urban Meyer has heard some talk about still being in the College Football Playoff, but with signs all over the practice facility that simply say "Beat Northwestern," he's trying to keep Ohio State focused on one game. "Everything is still out there," Meyer said. "But you have to beat Northwestern."

Talked to Ole Miss RB Eugene Brazley about the Rebels' locker room after back-to-back SEC losses. He said the team is disappointed but the spirits are high going into the Auburn game. Assures there is no quit in the Rebels' locker room. "We're gonna fight, that's what we do. We're a family, we're not going to quit on each other. We're always looking for another opportunity ... we're not gonna back down."

LSU senior DB Dwayne Thomas is not short on confidence entering the Nov. 5 game against top-ranked Alabama. He said LSU's senior class won't be the first to go winless against Alabama -- the Crimson Tide has won five in a row against LSU -- and predicted that "we are going to dominate this offense."

Gus Malzahn confirms that Auburn running back Kerryon Johnson will play this Saturday at Ole Miss. Johnson missed last week's game and the majority of the game before that with an ankle injury. Prior to the injury, he was Auburn's leading rusher with 538 yards and 6 touchdowns.

Penn State coach James Franklin said he received 348 text messages after his team's upset win against No. 2 Ohio State. He said he basically texted back, "Thanks" or "Thanks, brother. Appreciate it" and copied-and-pasted that in every message. It's been an interesting week for the head coach, but he swore his Nittany Lions moved on from the win after Sunday.

Dave Doeren clarifies comments on the play that injured Clemson RB Wayne Gallman: "We have a lot of respect for Wayne Gallman, he's a really good football player. My comments came in response to a question about what we did well in the game, how physical we were, that we stopped the run. It had nothing to do with being excited about injuring another player. I feel like a lot of that was taken he wrong way. That's not something we prioritize ever is injuring somebody. But we are a physical team that takes pride in playing a physical way. That play was not a penalty. I'd like to remind people of that. They did review the play. The had the opportunity to buzz it upstairs, and they didn't do that. It's a physical football game. I'm glad Wayne is back and healthy and we wish him nothing but the best."
