Florida State doesn't even put Dalvin Cook in a non-contact jersey anymore. He's untouchable in practice, often to the defense's dismay. "I got kicked off the field three times last year [as a freshman] just for touching him," defensive end Josh Sweat said. Rookie mistake.

Texas has moved another QB to wide receiver. First it was Jerrod Heard, now it's Kai Locksley. The redshirt freshman and former ESPN 300 recruit is playing receiver according to Texas' updated roster. He has potential there, too: Locksley played that position in the Under Armour All-America Game and played well.

There are three true freshmen in Oregon's two deep -- quarterback Justin Herbert, linebacker Troy Dye and cornerback Brandon Schooler. Most surprising name in there is Schooler. The Oregon secondary struggled mightily last season with youth and inexperience so to see a true freshman crack that two-deep is unexpected. But, Helfrich said that his speed and toughness made him an obvious choice to be Arrion Springs' back up.

Chantel Jennings ESPN Staff Writer

Mark Helfrich scooped himself a bit today at the media availability. Oregon only releases two deep for the depth chart (At QB: Dakota Prukop, Justin Herbert). However, he said that Travis Jonsen -- who started fall camp competing with Prukop for reps with the 1's -- had finished as the fourth-string QB. Terry Wilson is the third-string.
