Nittany Lions interim head coach Tom Bradley confirmed Sunday that McGloin is out. Sophomore Rob Bolden will start against Houston.
McGloin hasn't practiced since the fight with teammate Curtis Drake on Dec. 17 following a Penn State practice. McGloin said he suffered a concussion and a seizure when his head hit the locker room floor. He was briefly hospitalized that day before being released.
McGloin started the final five games of the regular season. Bolden started the first seven contests and played sparingly down the stretch. He has completed only 42.2 percent of his passes with a touchdown and four interceptions.
