Source: Idaho cornerbacks coach Aric Williams is joining the San Jose State staff. He likely will coach cornerbacks for the Spartans. Williams is a former first-team All-Pac-10 cornerback at Oregon State.

Two names I'm hearing are in the mix for Arizona's coaching vacancy: Troy head coach Neal Brown and Cal offensive coordinator Beau Baldwin, the former head coach at Eastern Washington. Brown is 25-13 at Troy, while Baldwin just completed his first season on the Cal staff.

Talk about a quick turnaround. With Billy Napier introduced as head coach at Louisiana yesterday, that makes four head coaches to come from Alabama's 2015 staff. Napier is joined by Mario Cristobal at Oregon, Kirby Smart at Georgia and Lane Kiffin at FAU. Nick Saban's coaching tree keeps growing.

Arkansas State's Ja'Von Rolland-Jones needed one sack to break Terrell Suggs' FBS career record, but wasn't able to get it done in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl. The two-time Sun Belt Conference Player of the Year finishes his career with 43.5 sacks.
