37. Holy Buckeye

Michael Jenkins' catch keeps Ohio State on title track

Nov. 9, 2002: Ohio State lived on the edge throughout its national championship run, and no play epitomized the season more than Craig Krenzel's 37-yard touchdown pass to Michael Jenkins at Purdue. The Buckeyes trailed 6-3 and faced fourth-and-1 with less than two minutes left. Rather than call a safe run play, coach Jim Tressel had Krenzel drop back, and the quarterback found Jenkins for the game winner. The play known as "Holy Buckeye" propelled Ohio State to a 14-0 season.
