Who's winning California recruiting?

As football season nears, ESPN Recruiting is looking at where the five top states for recruiting -- California, Florida, Georgia, Ohio and Texas -- stand heading into the season.

There are 33 total ESPN 300 prospects from the state of California in the 2018 class, 20 of whom have already made their commitment. There are still a ton of top uncommitted prospects, including the top two recruits in the state: athlete Devon Williams and receiver Jalen Hall.

California is always home to a ton of top prospects, and this class is no exception. Plenty of out-of-state schools are trying to pull the California recruits out of state, but USC is making a charge back to the top of college football's elite programs.
