Virginia Tech announced receiver Damon Hazelton has officially enrolled at school, but must sit out 2017 because of NCAA transfer rules. He still helps bolster a Virginia Tech receiver group that has question marks for this season and beyond. Cam Phillips, a rising senior, is the only receiver back who contributed in a significant way a year ago. If Hazelton meets his potential, he's in line for a big role in 2018.

Miami offensive tackle Sunny Odogwu is leaving the program, leaving the Hurricanes without one of their more experienced linemen for 2017. Odogwu started 14 games over three seasons, but missed most of last year with a leg injury and was limited during spring practice. He told coach Mark Richt he feels he will have a better opportunity at playing time at another school. Odogwu has already graduated, so he will have a chance to play right away at his next destination.

That decommitment brings the Alabama commitment total down to two prospects for the 2018 class with Xavier Williams and Jordan Davis. This is the first time since ESPN started its class rankings in the spring that Alabama is outside the top 11 of the rankings as the Tide aren't even in the top 25 for 2018.
