Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa, who had surgery to help repair a high-ankle sprain following the SEC title game, is "ahead of schedule," according to coach Nick Saban. He can run and practice, and is progressing well in his recovery.

After dedicating the first few practices to fundamentals and a camp like feel, Alabama began game prep for Oklahoma today. Nick Saban said players got fed a lot of information today. Mimicking QB Kyler Murray is difficult, though, he added. "If we had somewhat who could duplicate what he does, we'd be playing him."

Sacramento State announced Utah offensive coordinator Troy Taylor has been hired as the program's head coach. Taylor spent the last two seasons in Salt Lake City following a year as the OC at Eastern Washington. Taylor is from the Sacramento area, where he famously helped turn Folsom High School into one of the premiere prep football teams in the country.

Nebraska announces that it will pay Akron $650K for the cancelled game in Week 1 of this year. The original agreement called for a payout of $1.17 million if the game was played. Also, the Huskers and Zips will play in Lincoln on Sept. 6, 2025. Hope for nice weather.

Indiana adds quarterback Jack Tuttle, a transfer from Utah. Tuttle was a decorated recruit from Southern California who didn't suit up for Utah this season. His eligibility situation is still to be determined and he could play next fall. His father, Jay, was a kicker for Indiana. "He is extremely talented and brings a huge skillset to our quarterback room," Hoosiers coach Tom Allen said in a news release. "We look forward to his arrival on campus next semester and his development as a Hoosier."

Penn State landed a commitment from ESPN 300 defensive end Adisa Isaac on Monday. Isaac is the No. 53 ranked prospect in the 2019 class, out of New York, and he is the eighth ESPN 300 commitment in the class for the Nittany Lions.

Michigan flipped ESPN 300 linebacker Anthony Solomon from Miami Sunday night. Solomon is the No. 83 ranked prospect in the 2019 class and gives Michigan 12 ESPN 300 commits in the class.

Oregon landed the No. 1 ranked prospect in the 2019 class, Kayvon Thibodeaux, on Saturday. The defensive end chose the Ducks over Alabama, Florida and Florida State. Oregon now has 10 ESPN 300 commitments in the class, which was ranked No. 6 overall prior to his commitment.
