Some old problems have popped up to hamper Nebraska in its Big Ten opener -- and the turnovers so far have been extra painful. The Huskers have fumbled on the goal line twice to let Northwestern and its stagnant offense hang around at halftime, though they still took a slim 3-point lead into intermission. Mike Riley won't be happy with the ball security, and the Huskers are surely going to hear plenty about it in the locker room.

Houston freshman WR D'Eriq King just got a hat trick against Texas State: a receiving touchdown, a passing touchdown and now a 99-yard kickoff return touchdown.

Players are returning to the field at McLane Stadium. The resumption is scheduled for 8:14 p.m. CT. Last week, Oklahoma State defensive coordinator Glenn Spencer leveraged a two-hour weather delay into success by adjusting his scheme. It might be more difficult tonight with less than two minutes expired in this game. Baylor leads 6-0.

Bruins cash in after forcing INT

After a turnover gave the Bruins a short field, UCLA QB Josh Rosen finds TE Nate Iese for a 10-yard touchdown. UCLA takes a 7-3 lead over Stanford.

No. 6 Houston is up 43-3 at the half against Texas State. Greg Ward has been literally unstoppable tonight -- Texas State has not stopped a single UH offensive drive -- and the Cougars' defense is giving up nothing on the ground as usual, allowing 17 rushing yards on 11 attempts. Everything going right for UH tonight.

Gamecocks take lead over Wildcats

South Carolina RB A.J. Turner turns the corner and outruns Kentucky defenders for a 12-yard touchdown. The Gamecocks lead 7-3 late in the second quarter.

Louisville is having a tougher time on offense against Marshall because the Herd are getting into the backfield more than Florida State did. Lamar Jackson does have a 71-yard touchdown pass to James Quick but he has been mostly off with his passes and hasn't been able to scramble for big plays. At least through three drives.

Kyle Bonagura ESPN Staff Writer

UCLA took advantage of a short field to take a 7-3 lead just before the end of the first quarter. In the Bruins' eight-game losing streak to Stanford, they have never led at halftime, nor have they outscored the Cardinal in a single half. LB Kenny Young did a good job reading Stanford QB Ryan Burns on an interception he returned 40 yards to set UCLA up at the Stanford 26.

ESPN Stats and Information

Stanford is trailing for the first time this season. There are now six FBS teams that have not trailed this season.

Houston's No. 2 RB Mulbah Car went down clutching his right knee late in the 2nd quarter against Texas State. No word yet on the severity of the injury. The freshman back has been a solid contributor and had a 100-yard day against Lamar earlier this season.
