Arkansas St. back to GoDaddy Bowl

JONESBORO, Ark. -- Arkansas State says it has accepted a bid to play in the GoDaddy Bowl in Mobile, Ala., for the third year in a row.

The Red Wolves finished the regular season at 7-5, including 5-2 in the Sun Belt Conference. They have clinched at least a second-place finish.

The school said Monday it will play a Mid-American Conference opponent in Mobile.

The GoDaddy Bowl will be played the night of Jan. 5, a Sunday.

Arkansas State lost to Northern Illinois in the game two years ago, and last year it defeated Kent State. The Red Wolves have had three consecutive winning seasons for the first time since 1985-87.
