Wake Forest has suspended two more players, the school announced on Saturday, increasing the total to eight players suspended in two weeks. Last week, Wake Forest suspended six players, including four starters, for the game at Maryland.
Most recently, safety Duran Lowe and offensive lineman Devin Bolling have been indefinitely suspended for a violation of athletic department policy. Coach Jim Grobe could not be immediately reached for comment.
Lowe is listed as a backup free safety, and Bolling is the backup at right guard. Lowe has 28 tackles this season and one fumble recovery.
Last week, the Deacons suspended cornerback Merrill Noel, safety Daniel Mack, linebacker Mike Olson, guard Frank Souza, running back Deandre Martin and receiver Airyn Willis, but announced they will be eligible to be reinstated for the next game at Virginia on Oct. 20.
Wake Forest has a bye this week.
