Jalen Hurts lasers first pitch in dirt (0:29)

Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts throws out the ceremonial first pitch before the Crimson Tide's baseball game and the pitch is far from perfect. (0:29)

Alabama's baseball team squared off against Texas A&M on Thursday. Before the game began, the Crimson Tide called QB Jalen Hurts from the bullpen to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The 2016 SEC Freshman of the Year threw a fastball low and a little off target. We won't hold it against him, since he's probably been giving more attention to getting Alabama back to the College Football Playoff than to his pitching skills.

Hurts admitted to being "a little rusty" throwing a baseball, but he's proven his arm can make plays on the football field. He threw for 2,780 yards and 23 touchdowns last season.
