Boston College and Temple announce a home-and-home series, with the two teams meeting in Chestnut Hill in 2018 and Philadelphia in 2021. The former Big East rivals have met 37 times previously, and Temple is the former home of BC head coach Steve Addazio.

Defense was not the problem for Eagles

Boston College led the nation in yards per game allowed in 2015, despite a 3-9 overall record and no wins in the ACC.

A year ago BC right guard Chris Lindstrom was a 265-pound freshman who missed a block that resulted in a season ending injury for his QB. This year, Lindstrom is up to 305 and one of the reasons Steve Addazio thinks his O-line can make a big stride. "He's going to be a first-rounder in a few years," Addazio said.

Boston College running back Myles Willis grew up in Atlanta, so playing the opener against Georgia Tech in Ireland marks a once in a lifetime opportunity. So much so that Willis played both scout team quarterback in addition to his normal running back duties to help the team prepare for the triple option. Willis played in the same offense in high school. "I'll do anything to help this team win that game," he said.

Boston College coach Steve Addazio regrets not bringing in a transfer at QB last season to account for roster deficiencies. He said he underestimated the effect of so much youth on the team.
