Michigan's 28 first-half points against Penn State are the most the Wolverines have scored in a first half against the Nittany Lions. This is the sixth first-half shutout for Michigan in the last two seasons, tied with Florida for the most in the FBS during that time.

Michigan has sacks on one-third of the Nittany Lions' pass attempts and has held them to negative-3 rushing yards.

Players for Michigan and Michigan State raised their fists in the air during the national anthem at each team's home game on Saturday.
