It's that time of year. Coaching changes, indecision or cold feet have recruits on the verge of flipping their commits. That includes No. 3 Najee Harris. Will these elite players decommit?

Who really is the best in the Big Ten?

Penn State and Wisconsin will meet on Saturday in the Big Ten title game. But when you look at these numbers, you may find it odd that Michigan didn't make the cut.

ESPN Stats & Information

Combine Colorado's significantly better strength of record than Michigan with the fact that Buffs led the Wolverines on the road in the second half until shortly before starting QB Sefo Liufau got hurt. Those two nuggets will certainly be discussed in the playoff committee room this weekend if Colorado beats Washington.

David Lombardi ESPN Staff Writer

Significant number that's gone under the radar: Colorado's strength of record percentage would be way ahead of Michigan's if the Buffs win this Friday. There would only be an 11% chance that an average top-25 team would post an 11-2 record versus Colorado's schedule, while there would be a 34% chance of a team going 10-2 against Michigan's. The Buffs' resume is very strong by this important metric, which the committee has been shown to value, so they are still on playoff life support.

Which team has best shot to make CFP?

Alabama and Ohio State both have a 92 percent chance to make the College Football Playoff, according to FiveThirtyEight projections. Clemson has an 80 percent chance, and Washington's chances are at 60 percent. After those four, the numbers drop substantially.

ESPN Stats & Info

... So you're saying there's a chance?

FiveThirtyEight gives No. 5 Michigan just a 1 percent chance to make the College Football Playoff following last Saturday's double-overtime loss in Columbus. No. 2 Ohio State is virtually assured of making the playoff.
